We want to introduce you to a passionate woman whose journey of inner healing has not only changed her life but continues to impact the lives of others in profound ways. Meet Christina, a devoted Christian, mother of three, and experienced inner healing minister based in Adelaide, South Australia.
A Life Rooted in Faith and Family
Born into a Christian home, Christina’s journey of faith began early. “I officially made the decision to receive Jesus and be baptized when I was eight years old,” she shares. Raised in a Pentecostal environment, she later moved to Adelaide and continued her spiritual journey in a similar church setting. Today, she and her family are proud members of Field of Dreams Church, where Christina has served on staff since 2019 and recently stepped into an elder role in February 2024.
Together with her husband Nick, Christina lives a vibrant, faith-filled life with their three children—Santina (16), Talia (15), and Israel (12). “We’re both of Greek descent and live big fat Greek lives,” she laughs, emphasizing the warmth and connection that family brings.
A Personal Encounter with Inner Healing
For many, the idea of inner healing is unfamiliar, but for Christina, it became an essential aspect of her spiritual journey. “Growing up, my father operated heavily in deliverance ministry, so I was exposed to inner healing in a way, though it wasn’t until later that I truly experienced it for myself,” she explains.
After years away from church during her adolescence, Christina found herself drawn back to faith and ultimately to Field of Dreams Church, where her personal healing journey began. “My first real experience with inner healing came during a season where I encountered the Lord in the secret place,” she reflects. “I would spend hours each week on my living room floor, presenting myself to Him and allowing Him to minister to me.” These powerful encounters with God revealed deep truths about her identity and purpose, setting her on a trajectory of healing and transformation.
The Power of Inner Healing
Inner healing has had a profound impact on Christina, reshaping both her inner world and her external circumstances. “It altered the course of my life in ways I least expected,” she says. “Through these encounters, the Lord revealed Himself to me in the midst of my pain and wounding, empowering me to surrender the false refuges I had built based on lies and exchange them for His Truth.” Through this process, Christina discovered not only more about her true identity but also the strength to walk in the fullness of her calling.
While she never initially sought to be in ministry, the Lord made it clear that her journey of inner healing was meant to be shared. “I began sharing my experiences with others, and people were ministered to just by hearing them,” she shares. “It didn’t take me long to realize my passion for exposing the lies of the enemy and equipping people to do the same.”
Training in Inner Healing
Despite her extensive personal experience, Christina did not pursue formal training in inner healing. Instead, she considers herself largely self-taught, having gained insights through personal encounters with the Lord and discipleship under mentors. This organic process of growth and revelation has equipped her with the tools to minister to others effectively, with a particular focus on healing the heart and exposing the enemy’s schemes.
A Powerful Testimony of Healing
One of the most extraordinary testimonies of inner healing that Christina has witnessed involves a woman with stage 4 cancer.
“I didn’t ask where the cancer was or for any other medical related information as I had come to understand, by that time, that most physical conditions (as well as mental and emotional) come from the heart. So, I decided to focus on the inner world instead.
We explored the current struggles they were facing on a day-to-day basis that manifested in their relationships and general daily interactions. In this person’s case, they considered themselves unable to connect with people emotionally and had accepted that this was their wiring etc.
Cutting a long story short, we mapped that this wasn’t in fact their natural wiring, but a protective mechanism. That from a young age, this person had learnt to supress emotion and whilst they were talking, I had a vision of a calcified mass in their chest and the Lord spoke to me and said, “This is the supressed emotion.”
I shared the vision with the person, and they confirmed that they could feel pain in the area that I had seen the vision of the calcified mass. I immediately got them to engage with the pain and allow themselves to create a pathway from the location in the chest up into the oesophagus and finally into the mouth cavity. This process took some time as the heart had been programmed to suppress emotion, thus collapsing pathways for release. Eventually they managed to ‘will’ themselves to creating a pathway until the spiritual mass was finally positioned for release in the mouth. They let out the emotion in a breath followed by a very subtle ‘hiss’ (the demonic power-source attached to the emotion) and that was that.
We followed up with this person approximately 6 weeks later and discovered that a latest scan revealed their tumour had completely disappeared! That’s when I finally asked after the nature of the cancer and was told it was in the lungs and that the vision of the calcified mass was in fact the tumour!
It’s examples like this where I learnt that praying against a spirit of cancer would be futile as the demonic power-source is usually secondary. The heart decides how a person will build and what it invests its energy and resource into – hence agreement is the scales we are weighed against.
We have many stories similar to this which we are constantly in awe of the Lord and His creativity.”
The Future of Inner Healing in Australia
Looking to the future, Christina is hopeful about the growing awareness of inner healing in Australia. “I would love to see churches and individuals equipped to understand the inner world and the legalities of the spirit realm,” she says. “When people don’t understand how or why they’ve built certain emotional and spiritual walls, they risk rebuilding them after deliverance.” She envisions a more holistic approach to healing that not only addresses symptoms but also empowers individuals to permanently break free from destructive patterns.
The Joys and Frustrations of Ministry
There are many joys in Christina’s ministry, particularly witnessing the transformation of people who experience healing in areas they’ve never known freedom. “Every time I watch the Lord reveal Himself to someone in an area of their life where they’ve only known pain, I get ministered to,” she shares with a smile. “It’s a privilege to partake in that journey with them.”
One of Christina’s main challenges is the lack of understanding in the wider Church about the importance of engaging the heart in the healing process. “There’s a tendency to focus solely on the cross and say, ‘It’s all finished.’ While that is true, it only tells part of the story,” she explains. “Inner healing is about helping people present their hearts to God and facilitate that interaction.”
Another frustration involves the critical phase after ministry sessions, which Christina calls the “honeymoon period.” “This is the phase where people begin to experience relief but often lose momentum in rebuilding their lives on solid foundations,” she notes. “It’s a crucial time for growth, but many drop their guard too soon, which can lead to a relapse into old patterns.”
A Passion for Empowerment
Above all, Christina is passionate about empowering individuals to take ownership of their healing journey. “I’m passionate about equipping people to minister to themselves,” she says. “Self-governance is key, and it’s something we need to talk about more. It’s what has helped me maintain healing and experience freedom in all areas of my life—whether it’s in my friendships, parenting, or marriage.”
Through her own journey and the countless lives, she has touched, Christina remains a living testament to the power of inner healing and the transformative work of the Lord in our hearts and lives.
